Yaz Side Effects and Lawsuits

Yaz is a popular birth control pill that is taken by millions of women around the world every year. As of late, Yaz has been affiliated with certain serious Yaz side effects and possibly life-threatening injuries. Women taking Yaz, or its generic form Ocella, have reportedly suffered deep vein thrombosis, pulmonary embolism, among other serious health problems. And adding to the already rising scrutiny, the FDA has sanctioned the makers of Yaz and Yasmin for misleading television adverts that did not properly informing consumers regarding the health conditions the contraceptiions were meant to treat.

It all began when women in their 20s and 30s were suddenly falling victim to ischemic stroke and heart attack after being put on Ocella. Young, healthy women who were on this brand of contraceptive method for as little as a few months were exhibiting symptoms of major side effects and serious health risks. Ischemic stroke, heart arrhythmia, and pulmonary embolism are just some of the serious Yaz side effects allegedly experienced by women put on this birth control pill.

Any women that have been hurt as a result of taking Yaz, Yasmin or Ocella may be eligible to compensation. Many attorneys and legal aid agencies such as thelegaladvocate.com now provide assistance to anyone going through side effects and health issues as a direct result of using Yaz contraception. Now that more adult females across the U.S. are coming forward and filing lawsuits, the legal system is moving closer to rendering justice for those who were misled by the birth control manufacturers and possibly their doctors.

Written Example of Employee Evaluation - Some Tips regarding it

The current state of the economy requires that it is simplest to ramp up profits by scrutinizing costs, rather than by increase of income. One of the easier ways to do this involves performance management software.

Before it’s ready to use determining goals and checking future advancement it’s important to know what the data means in practice.

Utilizing performance management software you can be confident that this preliminary work is done for you and you only need to look at the different metrics and factors to determine what an appropriate set of goals for this staff member would be. It also renders charting the staff member’s advancement much simpler. This takes away the demands on your time and may even be far more useful. Should you choose to you can instead carry out your own analysis, simply using the software to generate and keep up a record to work from. Performance management software doesn’t only help staff. Both clients and suppliers can be analyzed using the appropriate programs, granting access to more performance appraisal tools. You’ll have a clear record that can show which suppliers stock higher grade products, for the best prices as well as identify those with high rates of loss or poor delivery times. Clients can be measured on their own metric, and once again it’s possible to help your bottom line. Then, you can adjust your ordering and move products around to increase your income while minimizing outgoings. As well as all this, marketing campaigns become much more effective because you’ll have a clearer understanding of your ideal demographic. Analyzing both suppliers and market is easy with performance management software. In addition it streamlines the employee performance review and helps set clearly outlined targets for your employees dramatically. In summary, it’s clear that the potential benefits of this system are endless and depend entirely on your own creativity and ability to use the information provided.

BRAZEN BACKYARD BLUNDERS

BRAZEN BACKYARD BLUNDERS

– Or, how to avoid doing things you shouldn’t being doing in your backyard –

By Aphrodite Beamish, a half-witted, hey-nonny-nonny harridan and makeover maven of bliss-challenged, breathtakingly bewildering if not botched-up backyards of America

The dog days of summer are clearly upon us, judging from the plethora of pesky pets and people gadding about in the nooky-conscious neighborhoods of America.

Statistics say, (and you known those nifty numbers never lie), that seven out of ten Americans prefer to spend their leisure time lollygagging at home rather than lusting out and about in the dens of impropriety and iniquity. So, if the ‘moral majority’ is just a tad hot and bothered this summer, it’s not surprising that 84% also want to “revitalize their outdoor living space” (provided they haven’t gone bankrupt remodeling the kitchen and renovating the bathroom).

For those with decadent dreams and a dismal credit rating, the following advice will warm the cockles of your heart (more than a new hot tub, patio heater, or a blinking barbecue).

Here are the top ten things not to do in your backyard this summer:

1. Do not make your back nine more “wilderness-friendly”, (we already have far too many Big Birds, Pink Elephants, and One-Eyed-One-Horned-Flying-Purple-People-Eaters schlepping around sampling pet bowls for freebie eats and drinks than urban dwellers can cope with).

2. Avoid extreme fantasy recreation or humungous backyard sports (like Tiddlywinks’ Tournaments, Toe-Wrestling Competitions, and Classic Hopscotch Games which cause far too many injuries to adults who enjoy acting like kids, Billy goats, and jungle-gym bunnies).

3. Squelch the need to showcase one’s nincompoop avocations, (whether they involve the storage of rusted relics or recycled refuse including pitted pick-up trucks, beaten-up bikes, limp lawn-mowers, well-worn what’s-its, whatever’s, and whatnots).

4. Hold off on organizing a “Backyard Blue-Movie Night”, (unless you’re ready to provide oodles of finger foods, fizzy drinks, and fashion eye-wear for Freedom-Fifty-Five Club members).

5. Refrain from erecting pretentious potties, outrageous outhouses, or loud latrines to experience that “happy camper” feeling of days gone by, (unless you also want to provide your high-and-mighty neighbors with clothes pegs for their noses).

6. Exercise caution in conducting “controlled barbecue burning”, (unless of course you have a comprehensive insurance policy that covers carcinogenic-cooking incidents).

7. Forget about mulching and manure spreading to improve the productivity of your carnivorous plants, (you already have one too many Venus Flytraps as it is).

8. Steer clear of pools, ponds, and pinking shears (you haven’t learned to walk on water yet and Green Thumb pruning is not exactly your forte unless “limbless” is in this year).

9. “Creative Taxidermy” has its place, (but erotic garden ornaments of titillating trolls, pleasant pixies, and feisty frogs is probably not such a great idea in your neck of the woods).

10. Dodge the notion of building a backyard bunker to escape the bothersome bugs (be they pesky pets, petulant people, or plague-challenged pests… just tell everyone and everything you don’t like to “Buzz Off” or you’ll be obliged to call in the folks from RAID).

So now that you’ve got the TOP TEN DON’TS …get cracking on what you can do with your boring backyard. After all, anything is better than living another day with that egads eyesore! And before breaking out the booze to celebrate your fun-loving fantasyland, BEWARE OF BACKYARD BOZOS - BUNGLING IS AS BUNGLING DOES.

The Harvesters Part 2

The Harvesters - Part 2 by Laurie Rogers Copyright 2001

Remember from part one, we are not talking about those folks who pick veggies out of the garden in the fall. This is definitely NOT an episode from Martha Stewart, although I’m curious to know how get my tomatoes to stop bruising, ooops, sorry got a little side tracked for a moment! It happens to the best of us, espicially when you’re weeding (pardon the pun) through all that spam trying to find your “real” email messages.

You know the important stuff, that really does need your FULL attention. And half the time you can’t find it because it’s buried under all that JUNK MAIL, I know how you feel, somedays I’d like to run to the highest mountain and SCREAM my head off. Maybe they’d listen, cause I sure as heck don’t get a response when I’m screaming at them through the computer. (You’re not the only one huh?)

Hopefully, someone will invent a system where you can talk to the email that comes in, the person sending can hear you right at that moment. That’d be awesome eh? Someone sends you some spam and you CAN tell them what is on your mind! You know, HOW you “really” appreciate their message. Although, I do NOT think we’d get much work done, cause we’d be too busy cussing them all out.

You have really got to wonder WHY they keep spamming cause *NOBODY* buys their stuff. And let’s be realistic for a moment, what in the world is the point in sending 1 person 500 copies of the SAME darn ad? I’m not the one who’s the MORON here! I can read, I simply choose NOT to read spam. And NO matter HOW many times you send it, it’s STILL not going to change my mind. (You’d really think they’d CLUE in after the first 250 copies.)

Is there some kind of contest out there that we’ve been missing? Do they offer awards for this kind of junk? I’m curious because, nobody buys their stuff, so what EXACTLY is the incentive? If it is a contest what qualifies you?

*The Most Creative Spammer

*The Spammer - who actually got “A” sale!

*The Spammer - who’s ISP never got shut down for a month!

*The Spammer - with most FAKE addresses

*The Most ANNOYING Spammer

What do you win if you qualify? 5 million FAKE email addresses? Cause you know they’re not going to give out a REAL prize! (Once a con always a con) And do they all compete for Spammer of the Year? It sure seems like it! The fact is life goes on, and no matter where you go and what you do, there will always some “STUPID” moron that just HAS to break the rules!

P.S. Try not wear out that good old delete key!

Who You Should & Shouldn’t be Trading Links With

Most people agree that a good and free way of getting traffic to your site is by exchanging links (reciprocal linking) with fellow webmasters. This is also agreed to be a good way for moving up the search engine results page for your chosen keywords.

However webmasters are often confused as to which sites they should exchange links with. Many read that incoming links from websites that have the same keywords result in higher rankings with the search engines. This often results in webmasters setting up reciprocal links with websites that are in direct competition with their own.

Now take just 30 seconds to think of any successful business that hosts advertisements for their competitors. Does the Coca-Cola website link to Pepsi? Does Ford’s website link to Daimler-Chrysler’s? No of course they don’t, so why would your website link to one in competition (unless they paid you a big fat check for the privilege).

So who should you exchange links with? Try and get inside the mind of the people you want to visit your site, your ideal targeted visitor. What would they be interested in as well as your product?

For example, let’s assume that you own a website that sells gold watches. You could link to other watch selling sites but as detailed above it could actually harm your site by taking prospective customers away.

Before deciding which sort of sites to trade links with you need to think of the sort of people that are going to be interested in purchasing gold watches. What sort of people will they be? Try and put yourself in the shoes of your customers.

Gold watches are a luxury item and aren’t cheap. The people you want to visit your site and the people who are most likely to make a purchase are going to have a good disposable income, and income they are willing to spend on expensive things. What other products would they also be interested in purchasing? The first thing that springs to (my) mind is designer clothing. People who are interested in buying a gold watch are making a statement. ‘Look how much money I’ve got’. Wearing designer clothes is another way of making that statement. So find websites that sell designer gear and exchange links. Remember it’s worth their while too because your customer base is very similar to theirs and you will both benefit.

You can then go on to exchange links that with sites that sell other luxury items like luxury cars, holidays etc. Once you have a better understanding of your target customer profile it’s not so difficult to find linking partners who will benefit you AND are of interest to your customers.

So when thinking of websites to exchange links with, I don’t think of those that are similar to mine. I think ‘who is my customer and what interests them as well as my product’.

Get it right and you’ll have a constant stream of quality, targeted traffic and less reliance on your search engine ranking. Get it wrong and you’ll be sending your customers to the competition.

What Do Graduation Gowns Mean?

You are probably like many that are used to the traditional scene of caps and gowns worn at every commencement. However, there are not a lot of people that are aware of the origins of the gowns or even why there are such a wide variety of different colors that are available. You may not be shocked that the various colors that are available today actually fairly new. The colors that are available have only been around since 1950 after some high school students asked if their graduation gowns could be in their school colors rather than the more traditional colors.
Since 1950 the tradition of colored graduation gowns seemed to spread through high schools across the country just like wild fire. People quickly began to see a wave of color during graduation ceremony versus the wave of black that they were used to seeing. There are, however, for the most part, a lot of colleges and universities that still stick to the traditional black gowns of yesterday, and therefore, they will add a splash of colors to their ceremonies in other various ways.
Some of the colleges and universities will use stoles or stashes of various colors to add some color into their ceremonies. Each of these different colors will symbolize a certain achievement or academic section of their chosen college career. This way the college will still be able to represent a solid uniform, and they will still be able to allow the students to show a sense of pride in both their school and their degrees that they are achieving.
The mortarboards that you see worn with these graduation gowns have actually been downgraded from the original hoods that were worn. The hoods of yesterday have an unknown origin but there are a variety of different theories, of how they came to be. A lot of people believe that these hoods date clear back to the Celtic times where the Druid priests wore caps with hoods as a way to symbolize both their superiority and higher intelligence. Today, the mortarboards symbolize much the same meaning as they are worn during a big achievement in your own life. The tassel that comes with your cap is also used as a form of representing your academic achievement that they have achieved in that particular school.
A lot of the high schools of today wear graduation gowns and caps that represent their school in a wide variety of different colors. Their tassels are also the same color of the cap and gown. Colleges, on the other hand, still often use the traditional black cap and gown but the stoles and tassels will be of varying colors based on their degree and achievements. There are also often slight differences in the gowns depending on the type of degree that you may be achieving. However, they will still tie into the overall look of all the gowns. This allows the schools and colleges to achieve a sense of uniform within their graduating class.

A Look at Volunteers and Their Employers

I expect you know that volunteer work can help build stronger communities as well as assisting those in need. The obvious problem is that freeing up the time to volunteer is liable to to squander very time that could be put to so much better use. To resolve this issue, a number of socially-conscious firms are developing points of organization helping their employees to work for the community. One of the more significant examples is Adaptive Marketing LLC of Connecticut who also offer shopping programs like Shopping Essentials Plus to consumers.

If you were asked for examples of company-backed volunteer work, you’d most likely talk in terms of giving blood, perhaps a Christmas call for donations, and no more, but this is simply not true in today’s world. Shoe recycling initiatives and more energetic campaigns like tree replanting weekends - these are among the activities that have been arranged for its employees by Adaptive Marketing. With all information - time, date, location, details of event, et cetera - displayed it is a simple matter for staff members to set aside the time they’d volunteer and what they’d be doing as they did so. It is important to let volunteers choose activities according to their own interests. Firms involved in this like Adaptive Marketing, allow their staff members to choose from a diverse list of drives to get involved with. You’ll find there’s so much to be done; getting involved in the education and entertainment of young adults, assisting with environmental activities, or supporting local theater to name but a few. This provides Adaptive Marketing volunteers with the chance to use their time as efficiently as they can and relish their time volunteering. A single big event or a regularly scheduled day - this is how a firm typically arranges this kind of volunteer initiative, possibly at a nearby homeless shelter or one of the local schools. Staff may well say they have no time to give, but usually even they can often find the hours to lend a hand with an event demanding just a single day. Commercial history is full of tales of organizations giving back to the people who live around them. Goodwill is created by the volunteer participation of Adaptive Marketing’s staff members through company supported programs like the ones outlined above. One thing volunteer activities are guaranteed to do is leave your employees feeling good about themselves, the end result of which is a motivated corporate culture. Setting out to help employees become volunteers is beneficial to everyone involved.

The Truth about Real Hair

There are many women than most of us truly realize that are highly prone to the loss of hair as they age. Just about the same as hair loss happens in men, some women will tend to loose their hair gradually too. Unless the gradual hair loss is noticed and cared for in the earliest of stages, there will be a day that the mirror will not lie about the thinning, and even in the worst of cases there may be balding spots upon your head. Although, there can be several reasons as to why some men and women have hair loss while others do not, with the hair loss in women it is more often than not caused by the Androgenetic Alopecia condition. DHT (dihydrotestosterone).Alopecia Areata Sudden, patchy hair loss is often caused by a disorder known as Alopecia Areata. This disorder occurs when the bodys own immune system acts as a deterrent to hair growth. It has been observed that around 2% of people experience this type of hair loss at some point in their life. In advanced stages of this disorder, total hair loss is not uncommon. Stress Weve all experienced it. Whether at home, at work, or in personal relationships, stress is always creeping into our lives. Problems occur when your hair stops re-growing or you re-grow fewer hairs than what you lose. Hair loss can be related to stress caused by rapid weight loss, illness (especially prolonged illness), surgery, reaction to anesthesia, or intolerance of certain drugs. A tragedy or even a major life decision such as moving, having a child, or marriage can cause or accelerate stress related hair loss.
