Best Prices Books
Premiere thing to do is to study about safety in motorcars. Buy volumes and find articles online in mags and on blogs. The greatest origin is books, which have been edited and thereby has insurance for accuracy. To purchase books online is really easy and you have all rubrics in moments, so I perfectly advocate purchasing books on-line, there are better recognized on-line bookshops like Amazon and Barnes and Noble and there are little known topical online bookstores like Online Boghandel and Saxo. You can buy volumes on safety subjects for nearly all auto makes and models so you are conditioned to buy your next motorcar.
You can equate prices on books at many web sites, personally I employ bogpriser to find the better costs for books and these prices takes on sending, so the results are comparable. The online bookstore deals all kinds of volumes, novels, fable, nonfiction, and books on psychology and how to build a internet site and you can purchase god bog Journey volumes is a great way to check about hot spots and you’ll find excellent travel volumes at bogudsalg where the books are sold at good terms and the diversity of different destinations is larger than most other book stores both on-line and offline. Records aren’t unpaid but if you want free information you can find stacks of blogs on travelling on the internet, all free and lots with precious information on most goals round the globe.
Besides volumes on gambling, books on psychological science and body language can ameliorate your poker attainments significantly, so be positive to read these details too. One of the best places to find and buy books is at Amazon, where youll find a wide choice, customer reviews and good prices. Poker is partially a science stake, so amending your attainments will greatly amend your profits.

Tips for meliorating rest
In mammalians and birdies, sleep is spread into two extended types: REM and non-REM sleep. Each type has a distinct set of associated physical, neurologic, and mental characteristics.
When you are awaken or can?t fall a sleep, make note of what appears to be the repeated theme. This will aid you puzzle out what you require to do to get your strain and anger under control during the day.
Sleep timing is mastered by the circadian time, sleep/wake balance, and in humans, within particular boundaries, willed behavior.
Most adults require 7 - 9 hours of sleep each night, but this differs albeit some people seem to demand as few as 5 hours and different individuals need as many as 11 hours. Teenagers and older children typically require about 9 hours of sleep, young children need between 10 and 12 hours, and infants need 16 - 18 hours of sleep every day. Sleep is both biological and < ahref="http://smm.dk/social-media/kontekst-og-sociale-medier.htm">social organized and determined.
If you?re not asleep after 30 min, step out of bed, go to some other room, and do something slowing down, like reading a book or hearing to soft music until you are drained enough to sleep. Troubled to sleep just passes to frustration.
If you observe yourself incapable to sleep or awakening up night after night? Residual stress, anxiousness, and anger from your day can make it very difficult to sleep well.
Relaxation Proficiencies
Various techniques are employed by individuals to ameliorate their state of relaxation, put differently, relaxation techniques vary. Some of the methods are executed alone, and some call for the assistance of some other person, often a schooled professional; some take motion, while some center on stillness.

Profit From Private Label Rights
by Stuart Reid
Most internet marketers are now familiar with Resell Rights and Master Resell Rights, but recently there has been a new trend for “Private Label Rights”.
Private Label Rights take the concept of profiting from other peoples work one step further. They give you the raw data, the meat of the product, and allow you to claim it as your own!
Private Label Rights are an incredible asset to the marketers arsenal. They give you all the benefits of having your own product without the time and effort of creating it yourself. And you don’t get the main problem of “vanilla” resell rights, that of everyone selling the same products.
With the rights to these products you are free to include all the modifications you wish. You can include all the links you want, any graphics you wish and any new content (or edit existing content). And after all this you can place a “(C) Your Name” message to really stamp home the message that this is YOUR work.
However a little more work is required to turn this data into a finished, saleable book or application. It’s not a matter of branding your name and uploading a website - but the small amount of extra effort is well worth it.
Private Label materials can include Source Code to software, text to information products, graphical files, and more. Each has it’s own advantages and disadvantages.
Source Code will take some knowledge in order for you to `compile` the code into a finished software product, and for you to modify it to your specifications. For the average Marketer this would involve hiring a third party to do this for you, adding to the time and cost. However, software has a higher perceived value than an e-book or report.
Graphical files also take some ability to modify. Sometimes they are supplied as a raw image in JPG, BMP or GIF format. Any graphics program can load these and you can usually perform simple modifications.
A more powerful solution is to have the graphic supplied as a Photoshop file. This contains a greater amount of information, and you can edit the graphic to a greater extent. Unfortunately you need a copy of Photoshop to do this.
Text files for eBooks, Articles and Reports are much easier to work with. For example:
1. You can brand the book with as many links, affiliate programs, back-end sales, or content as you wish.
2. You can split the content and provide it as an e-course delivered by autoresponder. You can charge for this, or use it for list-building and further sales.
3. You can place the content online and build info-packed websites, perhaps profiting from the traffic via advertising, such as Google’s AdSense program.
4. You can mix-and-match these, building a site selling YOUR branded product, that also captures the visitors e-mail address and provides an e-course (which links back to the paid product). Articles on your site will help the search-engines find and rank you. All this can be accomplished with the Private Label Content!
As you can see, there are many possibilities.
It’s not even hard to create the actual product. The easiest method is to build a web page from the raw text, using a web-page editor. There are many free web building tools, and your system probably includes FrontPage or similar.
This web page can then either be used “as is” or turned into an executable file with a simple ebook creator program. There are many available, such as Easy Ebook Creator or Jimmy Browns Ebook Creator.
Another alternative is to use an Acrobat compatible tool to create a PDF file. You can either use Acrobat itself, or you can download a free utility. These can convert the webpage you created with ease. Some PDF tools will install a printer driver, so you just print the finished webpage through this `fake` printer, which in turn creates a complete PDF file.
( You can get Web Page Tools, PDF tools and Ebook tools free from http://www.memberssite.net )
PDF files have the advantage of being cross-platform compatible; meaning unlike an EXE file it can be viewed on a PC, or a MAC.
A number of new sites have appeared selling Private Label Rights. Usually they’re available as a one-off charge for a selection, or via a monthly membership program.
Two of the best are:
1. Info Go Round
This Private Label site specialises in providing articles on a number of subjects. These articles can be used in autoresponders, on webpages, or compiled into complete ebooks. You don’t have to include any copyright information as the content is yours to brand as your own. One feature that sets this site apart is its members requests and creates content. Each member is allowed to contribute one article per month and in exchange the membership for that month is free. This site doesn’t have to cost you a cent!
Try it at: http://www.netpreneurnow.com/infogoround.html
2. Push Button Health
This Private Label site is focused on the Health and Wellbeing niche. Each month you are supplied with two complete products on hot topics such as Hair Loss, Obesity, Arthritis, etc. These guides are in demand and even come with professional written sales copy so you can create the websites with ease! Health is a far bigger niche than Internet Marketing, and the possible profits are equally large.
View at: http://www.netpreneurnow.com/health.html
Private Label Rights are the most exciting development in Information Product publishing in recent times. With little work you can have complete products and sites in hot topics, saving hours of development time and thousands in costs. Everyone wins!

Till some years back asian platform bed sheets used to be made from white cotton cloth. You are surprised at the range of unique bedding that are on offer nowadays. Nobody had thought that bedding could be made using such lovely pastel tones and several cloths.
Following are some factors that matter a lot when you purchase a bed sheet.
Evaluate the sizing of your bed
It is a common myth that one queen bed or king bed has the same dimensions which is so untrue. Also the top measurings, all the rest can be unique depending on the brand. The bottom line is that you need to estimate the height, width, largeness of the bed and also check how thick the mattress is. You will find that some beds are longer or wider than others with the same name. Measuring your bed will give you an idea of the size of your bed sheet before buying.
Zero down on the Bed shop
You will find a lot of top names in bed linen available in a departmental store near you. If you want something ethnic like embroidered bed sheets or luxurious ones there might be a storehouse selling what you want close by. The Internet is brimming with fresh new patterns every day. In case you wish to buy regular bed sheets you can get a good deal at a discount rate outlet.
Do you know what is a thread count?
The number of threads that are present in a square inch of the sheet in back and forth direction of its weave is known as thread count. The label of the bedsheet has the thread count printed on it. A lavish grain calls for a higher thread count. Dont go for a higher thread count than preferred as the thin single threads will not feel comfortable. For the right soft feel, a thread count of 175 to around 300 is fine.
Pick your bed sheet material
A material that is moderately priced and feels nice to sleep on is the one for you. Though cotton fiber is the most preferable material, some people go for the cotton blends as they do not wrinkle. A cold night calls for a flannel bed sheet. Those who wish a casual sheet can go for satin or silk.
Bed sheet Care
You need to know how the bed sheet has to be cleaned prior to buying one. Silk sheets cannot be machine washed as they are delicate. Do you have the time for all this? Hence choose a bedsheet that you can afford and require less maintenance.
Hope these six steps lead you to finding a perfect bedsheet for your bed.

Any library is characterized by a eminent bookcase. Bookcases help in storing books and saving them from wear and tear. Bookcases generally have horizontal compartments for keeping publications. These bookshelves sometimes come with glass doors for favorable admission to books.
attorneys have to read from various reference manuals for their practice. such consultation manuals cost alot and are needed often.Barrister bookcases are designed with the same role of holding heavy reference manuals for attorneys. They are also known as lawyers bookcases and can be produced in oak wood, cherry wood in several finishes and colors.
How did people store books when barrister bookcases did not exist?
Books were rare in the past, and thus there was no want for a bookcase then.In those times, books were hand-codified.They were located in small containers by the affluent individuals. It was the wealthy mans privilege to own and carry books as they were not inexpensive. Such boxes fulfilled the demand for a bookcase.
As time passed, these manuscript volumes were owned by lots of such clergymen and affluent people in a large number. These volumes found a place in the water closet or on a shelf. The bookshelves that we see Nowadays are an offspring of these closets in the past, without the doors.
How were the books placed in these shelves?
The old technique was different than what it is Nowadays. The volumes would be placed on their sides or with the edge on the forefront. these books had a band made from leather or lambskin as a cover that mentioned the title too. the books edge showed its name and thats why they had to face outwards.
anybody who liked learning could buy books due to the publishing design. publishing made it possible to have the title on the back and edges facing inside.
What materials were employed?
These barrister bookcases used to consist of oak usually. Other than that, maple, cherry and pine wood were also utilized for producing a barrister bookcase.Custom-produced barrister bookcases can be made in steel too for cutting wood cost and lastingness. The oldest bookcases are said to exist in England in the Bodleian Library at Oxford University. these bookcases are present here from sixteenth century onward.
using tiny pills covered in fretwork frames, Chippendale and Sheraton designed lovely bookcases. These bookcases indeed contributed to the elegance of the room.
Todays Barrister Bookcases.
Because a barrister might require moving in to another chambers oftentimes, a movable barrister bookcase has been planned to service their wants. this portable bookcase is built of several shelf units. all it takes to be a perfect barrister bookcase is an additional hood and footstall. The convenience of this bookcase lies in the fact that each shelf can be transported as a unique unit with all its contents still within!

Editor: Michael D. Ayers
ISBN: 082047861X
Writer, researcher, freelance music journalist and Visiting Professor at Manhattan College, Michael D. Ayers has assembled several international experts with impressive credentials who explore the recent phenomenon of the Internet music revolution, wherein there has been a convergence between artists, capitalism, fans, media, technology, and music itself. The result is an excellent compilation of essays featured in Cybersounds: Essays on Virtual Music Culture that present an insightful analysis of topics that up to now were lacking in technical sophistication in their discussions.
In bringing together these experts, these contributors have done a remarkable job in breaking down into their basic components such hot- button issues as the legal challenges that surround music and the Internet the birth and evolution of cyber communities how technology is used to frustrate corporate interests questions about transformation and how cyberspace has affected the way we appreciate music from a passive to an active role the question of power and regulation, for as Ayers states, “music in the on-line world has pushed the envelope” the emergence of the Apple’s iPod how bands use their websites is in branding themselves and how fans interact how music and on-line activism have come together how fans challenge the recording industry and trade their own home made recordings of live concerts how artists and DJs work together over large geographical spaces to create new kinds of music, and also how new technology as digital recordings in cyberspace allow for new creativity the effects of bootleg trading and peer to peer file trading, as well as the restructuring of the patterns of music distribution and consumption.
These are only a sampling of the huge territory that this book covers and as Jonathan Sterne, one of the contributors asserts, “Cybersounds offers us an unprecedented opportunity to reflect on music on the Internet and the state of scholarship about music on the Internet.”
In an academically grounded but for the most part informal presentations, this is a remarkable collection of essays that break new ground in educating readers on the convergence of cyberculture and musicology. Moreover, thanks to these contributors the door has now been opened where the study of these two disciplines has been greatly advanced.

Interview with Dr. Oleg I. Reznik
Author of “The Secrets of Medical Decision Making: How to Avoid Becoming a Victim of the Health Care Machine”
Dr. Reznik, a Board Certified Family Physician, is here talking with us about his recently published book. Welcome to Reader Views.
Irene: Oleg, you have written a book that has been long coming. Would you please tell us what “The Secrets of Medical Decision Making” is about.
Oleg: This book is about the commonly encountered medical situations with an uncommon exposure of the issues involved in the physician’s thought process, and the impact they have on the patient. Its span covers outpatient encounters at a physician’s office for both illness-related and preventative issues, common situations faced during a hospitalization, prenatal care and childbirth-related issues, terminal illness and end-of-life issues. Most readers/listeners who’ve had to deal with the medical system will recognize the challenges that they’ve had to face and will gain a perspective that they probably haven’t been aware of. The topics are presented from the points of view of the patient, physician, and society as a whole. Philosophical/spiritual considerations are briefly explored as well.
Irene: What inspired you to write the book?
I wrote this book to bring a sense of independence and self-empowerment to the prospective patients. During my training and practice as a physician I became acutely aware of the great deal of suffering that stems not only from the illnesses, but more so from the beliefs that most people have regarding the capabilities of the modern medical system. These beliefs almost invariably lead to disappointment, frustration, and a great deal of physical and emotional pain. Patients with such beliefs submit themselves to tests and invasive procedures that bring them nothing more than additional suffering.
While modern medicine does have an effective arsenal of treatments for the acute medical problems, things are different when it comes to chronic illness. A modest slowing of progression is the most modern medicine can boast, when it comes to most chronic illness. In my book I accurately describe what medicine can and cannot do for some of the common medical problems. It is my hope awareness of these issues would motivate the reader/listener to take charge of their own lives and consider their health in the light of their own lifestyles, instead of believing that someone else (the medical system) will fix it for them.
Irene: Who did you specifically write the book for?
Oleg: I wrote it for a general reader, anyone who may come in contact with the medical system for any reason, be it for themselves or for their family. My editors and I made our best efforts to write it in simple language, avoiding the use of medical terminology. Whenever medical terminology is used, it is clearly explained. It is appropriate for a young person, who would be prompted by the book to rely more on healthy living than on the future miracles of medicine. It will also help them in assisting their elder family members in their medical decision making and, if the need should arise, in addressing end-of-life care of their loved ones. It is appropriate for middle age and older people because they are the main consumers of healthcare and are impacted directly by most issues discussed in the book. It is appropriate for those who are close to the end of their journey in this world, so that their passing may happen with more peace, less suffering, and more according to their wishes.
Irene: This is a very helpful book to many people. In what ways do you feel patients would benefit from reading “Secrets of Medical Decision Making”?
Oleg: I think the book may be helpful in several ways. Perhaps the most important may be the overall change of attitude from that of dependence to that of self-reliance. I think that in this book I make a good case for that, both by presenting the data, and, more importantly, by presenting the examples of lives of the actual patients from my practice. In addition to that, the information contained in the book can be used as recourse and as a reference. It can be brought up during a conversation with a physician to help clarify medical situations. I also offer a direct advice on how to speak to the physician and what questions to ask in order to obtain the information that one needs and in order to be treated in accordance to one’s wishes. The last chapter of the book is a summary of the material that can be used as a quick review before a discussion of any important medical issue.
Irene: In your title you use the word “secrets.” Are you really revealing secrets that we don’t know about?
Oleg: I used the word “secrets” in its usual sensethings that the majority of people aren’t aware of. It is the non-medical components that go into the physician’s decision making that qualify to be called “secrets.” I bring to light exactly how your physician’s recommendations can be influenced by several powerful forces that have nothing to do with the patient’s best interest. Fear of litigation is one of these forces with power to change the way medicine is practiced. The influence of the pharmaceutical industry on creating medical guidelines is another force responsible for the direction of today’s medicine. The current medical model, which was created close to one hundred years ago mainly for the treatment of the acute illnesses, and is now applied to our current plaguechronic illness. Financial and time pressure is another challenge that is contributing more and more to what happens to the quality of out interaction with a physician, as our health care dollars are dwindling. While the existence of these challenges has been recognized before, I believe that I’ve made a contribution in clarifying exactly how they translate into the everyday doctor-patient interaction.
Irene: Unfortunately these issues occur. How have you been personally impacted by these issues?
Oleg: I am impacted by these issues in my everyday practice. Literally everyday that I see patients I encounter the issues that I described in the book and my task is always not to fall victim to misconceptions that I’ve described, and not to let my patient fall with me. Writing this book has helped me to clarify these important topics for myself, and it is helping me to clarify them for my patients. I continue to be influenced by the very same forces that I described in the book, but being aware of them has afforded me a greater degree of freedom, which is what I hope to bring to the reader/listener as well. Not going smoothly with the flow I’ve become somewhat of a renegade, though so far I am remaining within the boundaries of the conventional medicine, for the most part. I hope to continue to be available to the patients who encounter conventional medical system, and to provide a point of view that may further the medicine’s goal of reducing human suffering. The awareness of the problems described in the book is prompting me, as they do many other physicians, to search for models of health and illness that are better suited for today’s medical challenges.
Irene: There are many factors that we should be aware of. What do you believe we, as concerned patients, should know about medical decision making?
Oleg: Awareness of the factors that go into medical decision making will always help to find a better solution to any given medical problem. The patient can learn the limiting aspects of the physician’s and of their own thinking that lead to more suffering. Physicians, bound by their own fears and pressures, are one such source of such suffering. Patients’ unreasonable expectations are another. The audience should be aware every time they see a commercial advertising a medication or a medical service on TV, that such advertising does not have purely altruistic motives. For this reason it is biased, prone to inaccuracies and to giving false impressions. Our false impressions about the capabilities of medicine drive us to its unnecessary consumption, to disappointment, frustration, resentment, to emotional and physical pain.
Irene: What are some things our readers can do to support someone who is in the throes of a difficult decision?
Oleg: I think the most helpful thing for a person involved in helping someone who is facing a difficult medical situation, is first to shed their own fear of that situation (illness or death). After that they can be in position to help relieve the sufferer’s fear as much as possible. The decisions that are based on fear bring the most suffering. Fearful grasping for reassurance is by far the most common source of unnecessary tests, treatments, and procedures that end up bringing more pain. A person who is not afraid is in a much better position to know the appropriate time to intervene and to stop intervening into the situation, be it as trivial as sore throat, or as serious as cancer. Information I provide in the book should be helpful in guiding one toward the solution once peace of mind is attained. I hope that reading/discussing the book would also create a ‘mental environment’ that protects readers from developing unusual dependence on the medical system, helps them remain their own authority, and as such to be in touch with what is best for them.
Irene: Thank you Oleg. I appreciate you taking your time to talk with us. For more information or to contact Dr. Reznik please go to: http://www.olegreznikmd.com

The choice to author a book isn’t one that just suddenly comes to you. It’s something that gradually happens. And it usually happens many times before you begin to take it seriously.
Are you the cautious person who takes few risks or are you a risk-taker? Are you the person who weighs the pros and cons over and over again refusing to address the obstacles to your goals and thus does nothing?
Are you the risk-taker who plunges ahead without thinking much about it and gets discouraged because of the obstacles that need to be overcome and the fact that your dream seems further and further away? Or worse still you fail and give up?
Somewhere between those two extremes lies the potential eBook author. The lesson may very well be that you must be realistic about your ability to embark on the eBook authoring journey and reach your destination.
Let’s take a brief look at these two extremes - caution and risk-taking. One leads to change. The other is stagnation.
CAUTION
This article was written borrowing and adapting from material in Barbara Sher’s book, I Could Do Anything If Only I Knew What It Was, How to discover what you really want and how to get it. In her book, Ms. Sher has a quiz to determine if you are a cautious person which may be holding you back from achieving your goals. I have adapted her quiz to suit would-be eBook authors.
Answer these questions in relation to authoring an eBook.
Are you a person always in rehearsal? Have you been studying, taking courses, developing expertise, learning skills, and gaining wisdom but haven’t put it to its best use in an eBook?
Yes No
Are you constantly planning, preparing, talking about it, asking for advice, hesitating, … without doing anything about actually writing the eBook?
Yes No
Do you hang on to dreams and goals too long without taking action in even a small way to move you toward your goal? In other words do you refuse to make short-term goals that will lead you to your dream?
Yes No
Do you use the excuse that you don’t have the time to work toward your goal of authoring an eBook?
Yes No
Do you find time to do some things that you don’t really need to be doing like watching too much television, doing things you don’t want to do, or “puttering” with something that could buy you time to write?
Yes No
Do you look at others pursuing their dreams and envy them the journey?
Yes No
Is your dream of authoring an eBook not important enough to you to begin the journey because it would be too selfish and other people and things deserve your time and energy? Do you habitually put other people and things ahead of your own needs and wants?
Yes No
Do you crave change and adventure in your life by authoring an eBook but it hasn’t gotten past the ‘daydreaming’ stage?
Yes No
Reflect and Write
Now go back to these questions and take the time to write a letter to yourself. Take the time in this letter to reflect on your “why” of your response. Be honest with yourself. You’ve got nothing to lose.
While you are reflecting on your “why”, include some positive ideas about how you could get started at the eBook authoring process. Consider those strengths you already bring to the process. Consider who or what could help you reach your goal.
As Sher states, “If you have said Yes to most or all of these questions then you’re a Sure Thing person and you’ve got some thinking to do.”
“Safety is riskier than you realize.”
Caution shouldn’t be thrown to the wind but without risks life isn’t an adventure.
“Fear is that little darkroom where negatives are developed.” - Michael Pritchard
Time becomes so important in our lives once we are old enough to realize that we may not have made the best use of it in the past. The truly “lucky” person is someone who realizes that time is indeed running out and if authoring an eBook is in his/her plans then let’s get started.
Shoot for something
And you will never achieve the impossible.
But shoot for the impossible
And you’re bound to achieve something.
RISK-TAKING
“Hide not your talents. They for use were made. What’s a sundial in the shade?
- Ben Franklin
Is taking risks too risky for you? There are risks associated with eBook authoring. Specific risks in the eBook authoring process will be addressed in a future article but for this article we will focus on the general consideration of your attitude toward risk-taking.
Without taking calculated risks, your dream of authoring an eBook won’t be realized. Without this risk factor between you and your dream, you would already be living your dream. It’s what holds most people back. You must realize that ACTIONS are what make things happen not THINKING about actions. Any new behaviour comes through taking a chance and realizing you might not succeed - the first time.
Realize also that there is always a solution to every obstacle you might encounter. The answers to all your questions are already out there. You may just have to find them.
From Do It! Let’s Get Off Our Buts by John-Roger and Peter McWilliams, “Be daring, be different, be impractical,” Sir Cecil Beaton advised, “be anything that will assert integrity of purpose and imaginative vision against the play-it-safers, the creatures of the commonplace, the slaves of the ordinary.”
It takes courage to pursue one’s dreams. Banish fear by taking action. Failure is part of the learning process that goes hand-in-hand with risk-taking.
On a scale from one to ten, with one being cautious, and 10 being a risk-taker, assess yourself numerically where you presently stand in terms of authoring an eBook.
I rate myself a ___.
Well???
Reflection Time
What do you need to do about it, if anything?
What actions are you going to take?
What can you do within the next 24 hours to take that first concrete step toward your goal?
What is it about your past and present behaviour regarding writing a book that makes you feel good about yourself? What bothers you?
Who could help make a difference in your eBook authoring life if you chose to confide in them?
Have you ever told anyone you wanted to write a book? Why? Why not?
What good do you think it would do to begin telling others about your dream?
What have you done in your past that you thought you would never be able to do? Why is authoring an eBook any different from that situation?
What obstacles do you see to authoring an eBook? For each obstacle consider at least 3 ways you could overcome that obstacle.
How will you feel when that eBook is published and the first copy is sold?
What would authoring an eBook do to your self-esteem? Your life? Your confidence? Your career? Your income? Your future?
A poem for reflection!
Risk-Taking is Free
To laugh is to risk appearing the fool.
To weep is to risk appearing sentimental.
To reach out for another is to risk involvement.
To expose feeling is to risk exposing your true self.
To place your ideas, your dreams, before the crowd is to risk their opinion.
To love is to risk not being loved in return.
To live is to risk dying.
To hope is risk despair.
To try is to risk failure.
But the risk must be taken, because the greatest hazard in life is to risk nothing.
The person who risks nothing, does nothing, has nothing and is nothing.
He may avoid suffering and sorrow, but he simply cannot learn, feel, change, grow, love, live.
Chained by his certitudes, he is slave, he has forfeited freedom.
ONLY A PERSON WHO RISKS —- IS FREE - Author Unknown

In Conscious Courage®, Maureen Stearns states that courage is a deliberate decision to act or think or be, regardless of your emotions and halting thoughts, an actual force that is felt from within that enables you to say “yes!” to what you want and “no!” to what you don’t want. Courage is knowing that all your courageous acts will end up blossoming into something much more significant. Therefore, conscious courage is the discovery of your best self, the best in others, and knowing you had a part in making the world a better place.
The goal Stearns had in mind when writing this book was her desire to help us understand that discomfort goes hand in hand with growth. Because of her experiences while going through a painful divorce, Stearns tells us first hand how she was able to forgive, heal and move on with her life. The author is very successful in explaining that fear produces discomfort and that discomfort carries us toward personal growth. But, when you choose to be courageous, discomfort will not be as distressing or last quite so long.
Stearns divides her book into three sections, making the book organized, straight to the point, and, therefore, easy to understand her concepts. In addition, each bullet point that is reiterated with an example on one page contains a relevant quote by a well- known person on the corresponding opposite page. My favorite quote was by John Wooden, Head Basketball Coach Emeritus UCLA, who stated, “Be more concerned with your character than your reputation, because your character is what you really are, while your reputation is merely what others perceive you to be.” This format helps to make the book easy to read and very understandable.
I believe anyone and everyone could benefit from reading Conscious Courage® because if we learn the few basic steps to make us think or act courageously, we will become stronger, wiser and more complete as a person. We can begin to act courageously by simply giving a call to a long lost friend, writing down what we believe will be the outcome of the call beforehand and the emotions we will feel, and then comparing the actual results with our predictions. The outcome is not what is most important because we feel better because we have made a deliberate decision on something we wanted to do. If we learn to work through our discomfort zone, we will complete a challenge. When this happens, we overcome our fears, and we can be happier and live a more meaningful life.
The most meaningful part of the book to me was in the “Experiencing New Things” section where Maureen tells us how to unclutter in order to move forward, a problem I personally struggle with. We are also told to resist overspending by substituting something more meaningful and sustaining. After all, overspending gives an emotional boost which is short lived and will probably contribute to the clutter problem anyway!
Maureen Stearns did an excellent job of writing and explaining how we can all benefit from gaining conscious courage. The book was quite easy to understand and to the point while giving relevant and interesting examples. She shows us how to use “I Statements” to clarify feelings, desires and intentions regarding a situation. Stearns says that, “This is the Ultimate YES! — the ability to move beyond fear and hesitation to embrace every day with Conscious Courage®. By doing this, you make yourself a better person and the world a better place - definitely!”
I look forward to Conscious Courage®, Vol. II, Maureen’s upcoming project!

When my good friend, Barb Day, told me that she had ordered a good book for me, I knew that it must be great. Before it arrived from Amazon, I had googled information its “The Cure For All Diseases,” author Dr. Hulga Clark. Almost immediately, I found myself on a website, Quackwatch, which made it seem that this Dr. was a “Quack.”
When, tonight in writing this article, I attempted to find the inflammatory feature…Behold, it had vanished. Perhaps, that had something to do with the fact that the accusations made there were unsupported? So instead, I followed up some other links to complete this brief write-up.
I discovered that the Quackwatch home page has had 6,959,885 visitors since 1/4/97. From there, I found links to other sister sites which are also involved in this covert conspiracy. These include: National Council Against Health Fraud; Acupuncture Watch; Autism Watch; Bioethics Watch; Cancer Treatment Watch; Casewatch; Chelation Watch; Chirobase; Credential Watch; Dental Watch; Diet Scam Watch; Homeowatch; Internet Health Pilot; Infomercial Watch; Mental Health Watch; MLM Watch; Naturowatch; Nutriwatch; and Pharmwatch. I’ve included these here for you, in case you have a need for some bad healthcare advice.
In an opinion article written a few years ago by Consumer Advocate Tim Bolen, “THE LAST DAYS OF THE QUACKBUSTERS” the foundation of Quackbusters was exposed:
“The “Quackbuster Conspiracy” was started shortly after the American Medical Association (AMA) lost the court battle to the Chiropractors in a case begun in Federal court in 1976. The Federal judge ordered the AMA’s covert operation shut down - and leave the Chiropractors alone. The AMA files, library, etc., ended up in Stephen Barrett’s 1,800 square foot basement in Allentown, PA. Barrett, and his minions, had the common sense to stay away from criticizing Chiropractors for quite some time. Barrett has since abandoned that common sense.”
As I am now recovering quickly from effects of MS (Multiple Sclerosis), in part due to Dr. Hulga Clarks good advice, I felt it time to offer a little update for those valiant ezine publishers, and website owners, who are unafraid to give their subscribers and visitors the truth.
