The Chase Flexible Rewards Visa is designed with the cardholder who has very good credit and goals of using the reward program in mind. With this card, cardholders earn one point for every dollar they spend making general purchases. The points are redeemable for airline tickets, hotels, car rentals, and much more. There is a maximum of 60,000 points that can be earned annually, and they expire in five years.
The Chase Flexible Rewards Card has no annual fee and has a fairly low interest rate for a rewards card that is based on the cardholder’s credit history. An introductory rate of 0% for one year for both purchases and balance transfers is followed by a variable interest rate that starts at 5.99% and goes as high as 14.99% plus prime rate. The rate for cash advances is a variable rate that averages 23.99%. Finance charges on this card are based on a two-cycle average daily balance method instead of the customary single cycle average daily balance used by most card issuers. Cash advances are assessed a 3% fee with a minimum of $10, and balance transfers a 3% fee with a minimum of $5 and a maximum of $75.
This card is most attractive for those who qualify for the lowest rate and plan to pay their balances in full each billing cycle after the introductory rate expires and plan to take advantage of the many rewards that the Flexible Rewards card has to offer.
Some of the benefits cardholders can expect to receive with this card include the following:
• Online access to account information
• Reporting of lost and stolen cards
• Emergency cash and card replacement
• No liability to the cardholder for unauthorized transactions
• Protection and extended warranties for your purchases
• Insurance on car rentals
• Travel accident insurance up to $1,000,000
• Financial statement at year’s end if requested
• Emergency assistance and travel-related services
• Guaranteed parking at the airport
• Personal concierge service
• Lost luggage insurance up to $3,000
• Roadside assistance

Some people I know have trouble sticking to their budget in a variety of areas. Other people have trouble even making a budget that is realistic for their lifestyle. One of the biggest spending problems that people in today’s world face is having the self-control and discipline to limit their use of the credit card. If you are one of these people that creates a bill larger than life with your credit card each month, consider seriously using a prepaid credit card.
Using a prepaid credit card is a beautiful thing. Very simply, a prepaid credit card is one that you make a payment on before you spend money. However much you put onto your prepaid credit card becomes your spending limit. A deposit of one hundred dollars onto your prepaid credit card will limit your spending to that amount.
Sound restricting? In some senses, having a prepaid credit card instead of a regular credit card is restricting. You can no longer go out and spend money on anything and everything that catches your eye. Careful consideration must be given to each purchase because of the limit that your prepaid credit card imposes on you. In that way, a prepaid credit card is absolutely a restriction on your spending. On the other hand, a prepaid credit card gives you great freedom.
A prepaid credit card gives you the freedom to clearly set your own spending boundaries and to enjoy shoppping within those boundaries. For anyone who has ever gotten in trouble by spending too much, a prepaid credit card can be your ticket to enjoyable and risk free shopping. It can be very freeing to know that you can spend a certain amount of money and not have any consequences to deal with later. A prepaid credit card makes shopping fun and enjoyable because you know that you have already paid the bill.
Still not convinced? I challenge you to try exchanging your regular credit cards for a prepaid credit card for the next six months. Sit down and create a budget for yourself. If you need help creating a reasonable budget, get some. Having financial freedom is worth any amount of initial work it might be. Once your budget is created, put the designated amount of money on your prepaid credit card. Then shop away, knowing that each of the purchases you make is within the boundaries that you have established for yourself. I guarentee that after six months of this kind of restriction you will be more free with your money than you’ve ever been. Trust me. Get a
prepaid credit card today.

Credit plays an important role in everyone’s life. It affects the purchases you make and much more. One of the ways you can educate yourself and improve your credit is by getting an understanding of your credit history. As of December 1, 2005, all consumers are eligible to request their statutory annual credit file disclosure once every twelve months. This means that every consumer is entitled to get a free credit report and score at least once a year.
There are three nationwide reporting agencies that encourage consumers to review their credit reports. They are Equifax, Experian, and TransUnion. The best way to get a free copy of your credit report is though AnnualCreditReport.com. The AnnualCreditReport.com is a centralized service that has been created by these top three credit reporting companies. It is the only service that has been authorized by Equifax, Experian, and TransUnion for this purpose. The AnnualCreditReport.com offers consumers a fast and convenient way to request, view, and print their credit reports. All you need to do is go online and fill out the application in the comfort of your home and in a secure internet environment.
With identity theft on the rise you can easily fall prey to credit card fraud and identity assumption, sometimes without even being aware that you have become a victim. I cannot stress enough how important it is to look at your credit report at least once a year. As I mentioned before, you might not be aware that your personal information has fallen in the hands of a thief. It could take several months for you to become fully aware and by that time the damage has been done. It could take anywhere from months to several years to recover from identity theft. But if you are frequently checking your credit report, any suspicious activity you will notice immediately and take action. It is also good to see what kind of information a lender sees regarding your credit history.
On a personal note just as a testimony, we learned in the process of refinancing our mortgage that my stepson has created some bad debts that showed up my husband’s credit report. My stepson is a junior with the same name as my husband. We were very surprised and had no idea that this was occurring. These bad debts affected my husband’s credit scores and now we have to go through the process of getting all of these removed from the credit report. We would have not known this was happening unless we had viewed the credit report. So please take advantage of this free service through AnnualCreditReport.com. I also suggest you take some time and visit the websites for Equifax, Experian, and TransUnion. There is a lot of valuable information on identity theft, credit card fraud, and ways to protect yourself.
